FAQ

What is your jewelry made from?

Dandy Jewelry is a wearable piece of ceramic art. The gems are cut from clay, shaped, glazed, and baked in a kiln at approximately 2000 degrees.

What metal do you use?

All chain and findings are brass material, sourced locally in the United States.

What if my piece breaks?

Dandy Jewelry is ceramic. Around 50% of the time, if you drop it on a hard surface, it will break. We understand our jewelry is breakable, so we repair or replace for free! Please send us a message to start the process.

Can I buy just a ceramic gem?

Our ceramic gems are unique and beautiful enough that sometimes other designers/makers want to have a ceramic gem to incorporate into their own designs. Nope, we don’t do it.

How does the glazing look that way?

Dandy glazes are a trade-secret look created over time, with each finish achieved in a different way. No other ceramicist can purchase our glaze look on the market for their own finishing.

Is your leather real?

Yes, it is all cut from full cow hides.

What is your return policy?

We understand that sometimes pictures can be deceiving, and the piece is just not how you imagined. No problem! We are happy to exchange for another piece, but if you’re really unhappy, a full refund is also available. Please message us here.

How long will it take for my jewelry to ship?

Each piece is hand cut and created to order, so once your order is received, your piece will ship in 7-10 days. If you need a rush order, please message us here.

How do I figure out my ring size?

This is not always easy, but this handy chart really helps! Don’t forget to factor in knuckles, as our bands are somewhat flexible, but do not stretch.

How do I care for and clean my jewelry?

Your piece of ceramic jewelry is just like your coffee mug! It can get wet, and be wiped down. If you need to clean your brass chain, the best method is a little soap and water, just be sure to dry it out very well.

Do you take custom orders?

Sometimes we get requests for older pieces, and although we are happy to accommodate some requests that are not currently for sale on our web site, ultimately, our studio is not set up for custom work.

Do you offer wholesale?

Dandy Jewelry has been in the wholesale market since 2010, and is currently carried in over 200 stores. If you have a store, or sell at markets, and are interested in carrying Dandy Jewelry, please contact us to be our next stockist!
